Welcome to the Red Barons page.
The Red Baron otherwise known as Mark Douglas who has been involved in agility since 1997.
Mark is now an advanced handler and has put his Australian working Kelpie 'Ruby' (Cories Ruby Tuesday) to Agility Champion status, the only non Border Collie / Working Sheepdog to attain the title here in the UK. Ruby is also the first ever AWK to attain a Championship title here in the UK. Ruby was also the first Kelpie to attain a prestigious kennel club stud book number. Mark believes everyone should approach agility with a plan enabling a handler to contrive training and not to do 'ad lib' . He always states train to your weaknesses and not your strengths.
Mark owns four other dogs:  ASD ~ Amber (Dishy Scarlet Under Starsofmars) , AWK~Puck (Starsofmars Puck), AWK~ Halo (Starsofmars Pegasus) and AWK~Draco, (Starsofmars Draco).

Ruby has had a stunning agility career thus far including producing 2 wonderful litters with very promising progeny.

'Amber'

Grade 6 Amber is an Australian Shepherd Dog with oodles and oodles of talent, Amber has taken Mark everywhere to winning the ABC  semi finals and taking Mark to Olympia three times, also she has attained major awards at Crufts and Discover dogs events too....she is a superb all round agility dog with plenty in the tank to give.

Starsofmars Puck
'Puck'

Puck is a very strong forward going Kelpie who would win no prizes with his jumping style...but in his first full season Mark and Puck have attained grade 6 ...

Starsofmars Draco
'Draco'

New kid on the block ....Born to Ruby and Captain on 13th October 2007 Draco is an unusual solid black colour ..... already showing signs of great speed and character. (watch this space)
